Motivation
I apologize for being so late!
Simply put, my motivation is Alicia. I met her one day on a Hurricanes hockey board, probably 20 years ago, and thought she was a bad ass. She’s still a bad ass. And since this group means so much to her, I’m doing the thing. A thing I have mostly avoided like the plague, which is writing down my thoughts. My twin sister is an incredible writer, and finds the process very cathartic. (I’ve had to organize all of her notebooks and binders and loose papers and post-its and piles of pens...)
I don’t know why sharing my world is such a struggle for me, but I’m here to change that. So thank you, Alicia, for the motivation.
I'm a fellow member of the Badass Alicia Fan Club and like you, if Alicia asks, my answer will be yes. And I really hope you continue to write with the group. Your last post was beautiful and showed a woman who is not just articulate, but badass in her own right.

Girlfriend, you give me way too much credit, but yeah you probably did need a little bit more coaxing than most to join this group, but I just knew from the way that you have spoken to me over the years that we have known each other, that there was an eloquent, talented writer in you that I wanted to see more of. I hope one day you can get Megan to join us, no pressure. just jump in if she feels like it. I'll send her an invite to the group and it's good for any time. but I love you and your writing girlie pie! *smooches*
